This edition features articles on the mayor's reaction to anger over police use of medical gloves when interacting with gays, a look back at the fight against Anita Bryant over gay rights in Florida and nationally, an update on a case involving a CIA employee and employment discrimination law, concerns over potential breaches of privacy in medical records at Walter Reed Medical Center, efforts by Dignity Gay Catholic group to stay involved in the mainstream Catholic churches in the area amid homophobia from the Vatican, the withdraw of an AIDS discrimination suit against Prince William County (VA) Public Schools, an update on the case of a lesbian who had charged she was assaulted outside a lesbian bar in Capitol Hill and DC police had refused to investigate, details of a bill introduced by Senator Jesse Helms containing several highly controversial AIDS response measures, reviews of gay interest arts and media, and ads for gay-friendly businesses, events, and groups.
